Today we’re announcing a new name for this remarkable platform that is stronger, more distinctive, and more reflective of our hardware DNA. The product — and the founding vision — remain the same.

When I started as the 13th employee at Stoke Space in 2021, the job was simple, if daunting: “Deliver the software platform upon which the company scales. Oh, and one more thing: The tools for managing hardware are not good. Let’s build one for everyone.”

With the benefit of hindsight, I realize now that we had arrived at a significant conclusion: The path to success for one piece of hardware might voyage through a dozen or more software packages. We couldn’t win like that. A new product was born.

Boltline represents the best elements of our product philosophy: builder-first synchronization with reality, elegance that removes confusion and tedium, and a through-line of visibility that is greater than the sum of its parts. Boltline is the thread of success.
